Poker? I don’t even know ‘er!

By in Sponsored

After years of gambling offline and online, signing up to almost every free bonus offer that’s ever existed, constantly being told as I walk away from my social group in the pub being heckled with “You always lose”, followed by me returning with nothing but a pocket full of pounds, and being showered with love in awe of my skill at operating a fruit machine. I’m probably ‘up’ but probably not.

So, what’s the best way to play poker online?

Simple answer, there’s only one place to even consider.

PartyPoker.com offers the full poker experience with a range of games, mine being Texas Hold’em, as well as some of the biggest tournaments in poker that any fish can find his way to the top of and win $1,000,000. If you’re a complete Poker newbie theres access to a glossary and most importantly table etiquette, but once you know the basics the learning curve isn’t too strenuous.

One of the best things about the PartyPoker.com experience is that you get rewarded for playing and you can get up to 40% rake back when playing with real money, which is better than any other online poker room that i’ve played in.

You can play in browser or download the software. So you can play anywhere, on the beach, in your garden, even in the shower.

To top it all off as soon as you start playing you become part of the the worlds biggest community, you’re not playing against robots, every player has their own personality which fuels the competitiveness of every game you play.

Let’s be honest, you’re really not a gambler until you’ve dabbled in online poker. Real money play, with real people, it’s more fun than christmas, and more exciting than your birthday. Sitting at a table full of avatars slowly taking all your money.

Give it a try, and remember to thank me when you’re rich.

23 Days of Silence.

By in Film, News, Things

Deepthroat King

So I have ended my 23 days of not ‘blogging’.

Fact is, I need a new workflow for my life.

Here’s some important updates on my life, because everyone cares:

I’m now living in Vauxhall, in a flat, living the London dream. My flat has three key selling points;

5 minute walk from Vauxhall tube.
5 minute walk from Sainsbury’s.
4.5 minute walk from the Roller Disco.

I also believe Vauxhall to be a very nice area and it has come to my attention that it is in fact the gay capital of London.

A recent purchase of a Canon 50mm f/1.4 has vastly improved my video recording capabilities.

Me and Marcus are still at Rapp, working on stuff, etc, etc.

Very exciting news, I have upgraded my laptop ram to 8gb.

Here’s some cool videos:

This is a real sport.

Great at 1:06, audio is essential.

That’s about it.

Here’s a little video I made from a visit to Vauxhall Park the other day. Spent about an hour on it, went for a bromosexuality undertone. This is also acting as a beta for what may become a video a day for a year project…

Forced Monday Blogging

By in News, Things

Here’s what everyone has been waiting for, an update on my blog (forced by myself).

Above: Breakbots new video, I pretty much love everything about it.

Also, below, my favorite oh so too good to be real viral. A seagul stealing a GoPro, tagged with ‘cannes lions 2011′ on youtube, and has been followed up with an interview of the guy who fits the bill too well, with a youtube transcript that is written too well.

Also, heres a video of me pretty much with a beta test of things to come, obviously not up to some peoples standards. I facepalm for myself.

Also, Marcus and I did our first video shoot last monday, will get that up here soon (even though you don’t really give a shit, and because nobody will read this).

Another Monday.

By in News, Things

Psycho Hippy Pigeon

So, it’s Monday, again. We are one ‘proper’ week in at RAPP, it’s been a busy week. So here we go.

Yeah, well, can’t really say much about what we are working on at the moment but we are enjoying it, slowly dipping our fingers into some juicy pots. We are also managing to look like real recluses by turning away multiple daily invites to the pub (which we really want to go to) but always have awkward things to be finishing off at the wrong times.

Other news, our degree show was last Friday, it was a good night, some friendly industry people turned up, the booze ran out too fast, probably because of the half dozen shows opening all our drinks were free. If you get a chance to see any of the shows this year go to furniture (fine craft), then go home, it’s awesome.

Saw a pigeon on the tube, this small event is sadly a highlight of my week.

Monday Madness.

By in News, Things

So, officially finished my degree on Sunday at 4pm, followed by a visit to Pizza Express to celebrate, food was great, I was happy to be the only one of us to refuse to pay the tip (which was automatically added to the bill) after paying £6 for a beer. We continued to the bowling alley where I achieved a modest score of 156 (my best score ever, including two double strikes). Sunday was a good day.

Today (Monday) me and Marcus started our placement at RAPP (awesome) not quite sure what else I can write about it at the current time, hence the reason to unnecessarily pixelate part of the image above.

I have discovered that I have placement jetlag, a condition caused by going to bed too late, and getting out of bed far too late, too much, for months. I hope to adjust within 8 days.

Looking forward to blog on a more regular basis (hopefully).

I leave you with my favorite video of the past week.

Old man invades interview

I can only dream that when I am an old man I will be doing shit like this.

Two awesome things I just watched.

By in Film, Things, Work

A great combination for a cool music video, kids running round playing with guns, shot quite low-fi but with real crazy animations of blood, bullets and things going bang.

Is Tropical: The Greeks

Every Freddie Wong video is going to be good, here is one.

Jedi A-Holes Strike Back

Also here is a bonus video, just for you.

I present the new Marcus and Chris ident. 2 seconds of STUFF.

End of the world?

By in Things

So, the world could end this saturday 21st of may.

Watch these if you havn’t seen them.

Miles Fisher – This Must Be The Place (cover)

This guy is an actor. He looks like Tom Cruise and Christian Bale. The video is a year old and deserves about 5 million more views, and has inspired me to finally watch American Psycho (right now).

35 years backwards through time.

Gold, I now look forward to when hover cars become widely available and cheap, a though I had when I was a young boy. I’m still pretty excited about USB 3.0 and the thought that one day I will have a macbook air and a cat (off topic). Deep stuff.

Man Licking Shoes

If you haven’t already seen this you’ve probably been struggling recently to find an effective way to clean your shoes on the fly. Fear no more.

Lamest Excuse

By in Things, Work

Eurostar have been doing a competition for last couple months called Lamest Excuse, the competition requires that you submit a video with your lamest excuse to go to europe, the excuse with the highest votes each week or so wins a pair of Eurostar tickets, simple.

Me and my housemates won the 2nd week (with this totally awesome video), and a pair of Eurostar tickets (hard to share between four). We are now in the grand finale dubbed the Ultimate Lame Excuse where the previous winners have a chance to win a years Eurostar travels.

Here’s our video, directed, shot and edited by me, check it out, and vote here.

What’s our excuse? WE NEED BATTERIES FOR OUR BOOM BOX!.

Watch all the finalists and vote for the excuse you think is the lamest.

Springshine and Bicycles

By in Photography, Things

Firstly, sorry for the cliche hipster fixed gear bike photos. Secondly, here are my favorite few photos from the first week of getting out with my camera.

This weeks personal discoveries, Turtle Wax is pretty cheap and Vin Diesel isn’t gay, I have believed this for many years, he has a kid and model wife and according to wikipedia he has played dungeons and dragons for over 20 years.
